Have you come into contact with old paper notes recently?

ABOUT $4000 in old denomination paper notes were stolen from an Oakhurst home last week and police want to speak to anyone who has come into contact with any old paper notes.

Maryborough police are investigating the break-in on Charles Bruce Dr between Thursday, July 18, and Saturday, July 20 where the cash, including $50, $20, $10 and $5 notes, was stolen.

Police said a quantity of current $100, $50 and $20 notes were also stolen, along with some jewellery.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious on Charles Bruce Dr on the nominated days or any businesses that had received old denomination paper notes in recent days should contact contact Crime Stoppers via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24 hours a day.
