Chopper makes emergency landing

A helicopter conducting line patrols for Ergon Energy was forced to make an emergency landing just north of Maryborough this morning.

Two Ergon Energy employees were aboard the helicopter at the time of the incident.

General Manager Operations Paul Jordon said neither of the employees, nor the pilot, was injured.

“The pilot did an excellent job to land the helicopter in a safe manner following an apparent engine failure,” Mr Jordon said.

“Emergency services, including Ambulance and Fire and Rescue officers, attended the site.

“Ergon Energy will conduct a full investigation, as no doubt will other relevant bodies,” he said.
