Help for fire-affected owners

PRIMARY producers and small businesses affected by fires on the Fraser Coast are eligible to apply for a State Government low interest loan.

The Queensland Rural Adjustment Authority is offering loans of up to $250,000 under Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery arrangements.

The loan has an interest rate of four per cent and is to help with the carry-on and recovery of an enterprise following a fire.

The money can be spent on repairing and/or replacing damaged fences and sheds, buying fodder for livestock, agistment costs and supplying stock for small businesses for up to one month.

For details go to www.qraa.qld.gov.au or phone 1800 623 946.
