Hervey Bay misses out on a share in the shower

WHILE Hervey Bay missed out on a share in the heavier falls across the Coast, Maryborough recorded decent rainfall from the overnight storm. 

Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Mark Trenorden said Maryborough received 38.4mm in the 24 hours up until 9am Wednesday, while Hervey Bay only just scrapped in with 5.6mm recorded for the city.

Just over 17mm fell at Gayndah and Rainbow recorded 9mm.

Mr Trenorden said while the surface trough carrying the heavier rainfall was heading north, there are showers expected across the Wide Bay up until Friday. 

"Showers are expected to ease over the weekend with the heavier rain headed north to St Lawrence and out west
