Batter up in road rage act

HERVEY Bay police are looking for a man who allegedly threatened another driver with a baseball bat in a road rage incident.

A police spokesman said a man stopped his car in the middle of Pialba-Burrum Heads Road yesterday to get out and threaten the driver of the vehicle behind him with a baseball bat.

The man is then alleged to have smashed a head light on the other car with the bat before returning to his vehicle and driving away.

The spokesman said the cause behind the road rage was unknown at this time and inquiries are continuing to locate the suspect.

The incident occurred between 12.30pm and 1pm yesterday.
