Nefertiti belly dance teachers work together

READER'S STORY: Nefertiti Dance is a not-for-profit group formed in 2004 in Hervey Bay.

There are a number of teachers and we all work together in a co-operative way to promote, perform and teach dance.

Nefertiti Dance is a middle eastern (belly dance) and multicultural dance group with an extensive repertoire of dance styles including Bollywood, Spanish, Roman and a diversity of middle eastern styles.

Nefertiti is run by a committee and with a variety of teachers.

We often dance for free at fundraisers and community events.

We also perform at paid private events by request (no bucks' nights).

However, as a student there is no pressure to join our performance group.

We teach safe dance technique and cater for beginners to advanced.

We are a friendly and fun-loving group and enjoy regular social get-togethers as well as class.

Our term two classes are starting on April 24 and will be held every Thursday night 6.30-8pm at Dan Dinna House, 459 Boat Harbour Dr, Hervey Bay (between Tavistock and Bideford Sts).

The cost is $10 or $8 concession. Pay for nine classes and the 10th is free.
