Hire splatter gun for war on weeds

And it’s not to kill cane toads.
Isis residents with a lantana problem can now hire a splatter gun from the council to rid themselves of their infestation.
If the lantana has taken hold in scattered proportions, you can gun away from your horse or quad bike.
The splatter guns are fitted to a back pack for portable use. For more scattered infestations the operator may choose to undertake treatment using a quad bike or horse.
Lantana is considered one of Australia’s worst weeds due to its invasiveness, potential to spread, and the associated economic and environmental impacts.
It will form dense thickets overtaking pastures and native vegetation with some varieties also being toxic to stock.
Lantana has been declared a Class Three pest plant in Queensland under the Land Protection (Pest and Stock Route Management) Act 2002.
Over recent years the use of splatter guns for treating lantana has become increasingly popular, particularly when targeting lantana in steep terrain.
