THE history of health care in Maryborough will be discussed at the next Lunch Time Local History Talk at Maryborough Library on Tuesday, September 10, from noon.

Doreen Williamson from the Wide Bay Hospital Museum will be the presenter.

Councillor for Community, Heritage and Family Services George Seymour said the talks, which were held on the second Tuesday of every month, had proven to be popular.

"Having an ongoing interest in our history enriches us a community," he said.

"The libraries are the perfect the venue for these types of talks and Doreen's presentation is sure to be very interesting and informative."
