Hervey Bay archers hitting targets for 50 years

THE club is busy getting ready for the annual Foster Memorial shoot being held on August 26.

This year we have combined this event with the club's 50th anniversary shoot on August 27.

Hervey Bay Archers is looking forward to this event with visiting archers from South Queensland, and New South Wales coming up for the event, along with past members and councillors from our local council.

The club has been busy with making improvements to the club house and grounds in recent weeks.

Fraser Coast Regional Council has approved several grants in recent months so these improvements can be made.

Without the Council and members support the club would have struggled to achieve these improvements.

Members are also preparing for the State Field Championships being held in Brisbane in September.

Hervey Bay Archers are lucky enough to have a field course to practice on, as most Fita clubs don't have the room for a field course.

Our members will be heading down to Brisbane with plenty of practice under their belt.

We have just completed another beginner's course, we had a good turn out and hope to see some new faces over the next few weeks joining the club.

The next beginner's course starts on September 23, with registrations closing on September 16.

For information regarding the beginner's course and to register email herveybayarcherssec@gmail.com.

The clubs website is currently being revamped and should be up and running within the next two weeks with a new look and more up to date information.
