Hop on in to centre for free Easter crafts
PIALBA Place Shopping Centre has a well-deserved reputation for providing free activities for Fraser Coast children during the school holidays and this month is set to be a cracker.
Centre manager Sherrie Stone said the centre has always maintained a strong focus on the community by providing these activities at no cost for local residents and holidaymakers alike.
"The fun part is watching the children expressing their creativity," Ms Stone said.
With an Easter theme dominating this month's activities, children can take part in designing their own Easter money box, watch live Easter shows and get crafty at the Bunny Ears workshops.
Ms Stone said number limits applied to the daily activities, with stock running out early each day so far.
She said it was best to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
"Once the stocks for the advertised activity have run out, there are always other free activities for the children, including making Easter cards and egg boxes," Ms Stone said.
To keep up on events happening at the centre during the year, parents can sign up to the Kids Club via their website at www.pialbaplace.com.au.
Members receive newsletters, a free birthday gift and reminders of upcoming events.
"Not only are our events fun and inclusive but they also encourage children's artistic abilities, social skills and develop their cognitive capabilities," Ms Stone said.
