Howard markets rained out

THE weekend's Howard Country Markets were cancelled due to wet weather last week.

Droves of shoppers arrived for the markets at the Burrum District Community Centre on Saturday only to find they weren’t on.

A spokesperson said the markets had been cancelled the day before because the grounds were saturated and “any vehicle that drove in would have been bogged”.

The Chronicle was not informed of the cancellation.

The next Howard Country Markets are due to be held on March 7 – weather permitting.
