If elected, the Mayor wants you to sell the Fraser Coast

STRENGTHENING the unity and bond of the Fraser Coast will be a key tourism and economic goal if Gerard O'Connell is re-elected Mayor in March.

Speaking to media on the Esplanade on Thursday, Cr O'Connell said he wanted the region's residents to become salespeople.

"I want to make sure we embed as one of our key tourism strategies (and) our key economic strategies is Fraser Coast ambassadors," he said.

"There's no reason why each and every person living on the Fraser Coast or even visiting here on a regular occasion, can not become a boaster (of the region).

"Become an ambassador of the Fraser Coast - tell the world through social media how wonderful it is here."

The Local Government Elections will be held on March 19.
