In demand Mooy ready for crucial Socceroos clash

AARON Mooy says his head is in a good space as the Socceroos get ready for a critical FIFA World Cup qualifier against Saudi Arabia in Adelaide on Thursday night.

Fresh off a season where he was the standout in the English championship and helped Huddersfield Town to win promotion to the Premier League, the 27-year-old claims he isn't fatigued for the start of a huge month for the national team.

"I have had a couple of days off," Mooy said.

"I'm not tired, but I'm not as fresh as the start of the season.

"Once you get on a roll your body gets used to it."

Mooy says he is still on a high but he is slowly coming down knowing he has to take care of serious national team business.

"I can't believe it sometimes," Mooy said.

"It's slowly sinking in."
