YOUR SAY: In need of change

FOR over two decades the people of Hinkler have suffered from LNP/National Party representatives in state and federal parliaments.

We have heard the same old broken promises every election of more jobs, better roads, better services and the bridge over the Burrum River.

The stark reality has been no improvement in infrastructure and reduced services, especially the HACC services fiasco that were always free to clients but now attract a co-payment regime, record levels of unemployment and underemployment, and no bridge over the Burrum River either.

The local members have made lots of promises, but have no sway with the Liberal Party hierarchy who only work on behalf of employers and big business.

Surely after two decades of LNP/National Party failures, the voters will change to the people-friendly ALP, who have a far superior record on financial management than the LNP.
