Iris wins $20,000

IRIS Mockford only has eyes for husband Doug and, after recently celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary, the two are literally rich in love.

The 80-year-old Hervey Bay woman entered a photo and caption of their anniversary into the Live Your Vision Transition lenses promotion through OPSM in Hervey Bay and won $20,000 in the Australia and New Zealand-wide competition.

The caption, illustrating how healthy eyesight has enriched Ms Mockford's life, read: “60 years together and we still can see each other in the morning. Now that is living a vision!”

“When I received the phone call telling me I had won, it was a complete surprise and I was overcome with excitement,” she said. “I still can't believe it.”

The two hope to create more memorable moments when they take a well-deserved holiday and a generous Ms Mockford said she would also help some friends in need.

Ms Mockford will be presented with her prize at the OPSM store in Pialba Place today.
