Country-themed catwalk a showstopper at ag event
IT'S all about the colours at the Ag Show's cotton and wool fashion parades.
The twice-daily parades provided a change of scene for many visitors who had spent the morning checking out farming machinery, fencing and cattle.
Kaye Foley, who organised the parades, said there had been good crowds watching the models strut their stuff down the country-themed catwalk.
"I think the women like coming to the fashion parades - the men can go and look at machinery, and the women come here," she said.
"It's very colourful... bright and colourful. There's a lot of racewear and designer outfits.
"It's a young group of models, the girls are all about 17, 18, 19.
"We're having a lot of fun, learning a lot."
Traditional farm wear, including Drizabone jackets, were modelled at the parades as well as more contemporary outfits and lingerie.
The parades will continue at the Heritage Bank Ag Show today at 11am and 1pm in the Heritage Founders Pavilion.
