Jerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch's rugby romance
LENSES turned from the field at the Rugby World Cup final in London to snap some action in the stands.
Model Jerry Hall and media tycoon Rupert Murdoch seemed to seal rumours of their blossoming romance as they cosied up, cheered and smiled.
The couple were rooting for Australia to win the Webb Ellis cup and at one point Murdoch, 84, leant in to kiss the 59-year-old beauty, who wore a yellow and green scarf around her neck.
He appeared to be explaining the rules of the game throughout, whispering to her before pointing at the field.
The Telegraph reported a close family friend of the Murdochs confirming their couple status.
"It's all very new. They are really enjoying each other's company very much," the source said.
"He is very fond of her. There is no question that they are a couple."
Earlier in the day the Australian-born business man took to Twitter, leaving no doubt as to who he would be backing.
Hall, has been spotted several times with Murdoch who is 25-years her senior, over the past six weeks, sparking speculation about their relationship.
It is understood they were introduced by a mutual friend in Australia, and have since travelled to California and New York together.
The billionare has not been connected to anyone since the breakdown of his marriage to third wife, Chinese business woman Wendi Deng in 2013.
He also wed former flight attendant from Melbourne, Patricia Booker, and before that Scottish journalist Anna Torv.
Meanwhile Hall spent 22-years with Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger, before parting ways in 1999. The couple have four children together.
