JOHN Ibrahim's secret son Daniel has been granted bail after a court heard he allegedly helped transfer a suitcase filled with cash at meeting in Sydney last month.

The Daily Telegraph understands the 26-year-old was in the company of uncle Michael Ibrahim when he allegedly helped transfer a suitcase and a tool bag filled with $2.25 million in cash on July 24 this year.

Today he appeared before Central Local Court via video link and his lawyer Nick Hanna said his client was only mentioned on one and half pages of a 49-page fact sheet which contained the full allegations of an organised crime syndicate which was busted yesterday.

"It is confined to the alleged assisting of the transferring of a bag as described in paragraph 20 - he is not alleged to have done anything else," Mr Hanna said.

The Commonwealth DPP prosecutor did not oppose bail and it was granted by Magistrate Clare Farnan.

"He has a very limited criminal history whilst the nature of the offence is serious … his role in this is at the lower end of the range," Ms Farnan said.

In granting bail, she imposed strict bail conditions on Mr Ibrahim and he will have to report daily to Waverley police station.

She noted a substantial surety had been posted and ordered Mr Ibrahim not associate with any accused or be in possession of more than one mobile phone.

Outside of court Mr Hanna stressed his client was not charged with any drug-related offences.

He has been charged with one count of using money as an instrument of crime.

"On July 24 ... did deal with money that he intended would become an instrument of crime and that at the time of the dealing, the value of the money was $1,000,000 or more," the police charge sheet states.

The spitting image of his father, Daniel took his father's surname and followed in his footsteps, building up a business empire.

At the same time he built up his social profile in the party city.

Promoting his book last week, John spoke proudly of how his son had served his country in the Australian Army.
