Junior golf stars set for MB carnival

GOLF: More than 50 of Wide Bay's up-and-coming golfers will compete in the Maryborough Junior Golf Carnival on Sunday.

The annual competition, to be held at Maryborough Golf Course, will welcome golfers from Bundaberg and Bargara along with a strong Fraser Coast contingent from both Hervey Bay and Maryborough.

The action will start at 7.50am, with Maryborough duo Lachlan Hancock and Emily Burns and Hervey Bay's Lydia Shackell joined by four golfers from Bundaberg and Bargara for the first tee time.

Players start in waves, with Hervey Bay trio Kaitlyn Lynch, Maddison Young and Jett Martin the last to tee off in the three-hole comp from 9.22am.
