Jury finds man guilty of stabbing friend in neck

A JURY has found a man guilty of stabbing a friend in the neck in a Hervey Bay home.

David Butterworth was found guilty in Hervey Bay District Court of two malicious acts to cause harm.

The court heard Butterworth stabbed the man in the neck with a knife after an argument with the victim.

His victim was rushed to hospital struggling to breathe.

Butterworth will be sentenced on Friday.
