Kent St businesses to host cancer fundraiser

TABLES and chairs will dot part of Maryborough's CBD as a few of the Kent St business join together to raise funds for the fight against cancer.

Under The Gun Tattooing and Body Piercing owner Heather Byers who normally organises the annual Kent on Cancer was struck with pneumonia earlier this year but still wanted to do a fundraiser for cancer.

"It is a disease that effects everyone is some way, my sister is fighting breast cancer at the moment, so any funds we can raise is another step closer towards helping fund a cure.

"We will set up a morning tea for Australia's Biggest Morning Tea right outside our stores."

Together with TSG Maryborough, Aussie Punjab Indian Restaurant and Kent St Bakery they will supply a delicious morning tea with tea and coffee for $5.

Australia's Biggest Morning Tea will be held between 360 and 366 Kent St, Maryborough on Wednesday, May 23 from 9.30-11.30am.

Donations were most welcome.
