Fundraiser for Forget Me Not kids

A NIGHT of psychedelic ’70s fun will be had at the Salt Cafe, on the Esplanade, tonight.

Hervey Bay’s Lars Olsen will host a ’70s-themed beach party and all funds raised will go to the Forget Me Not Children’s Home.

It is Forget Me Not’s first fundraiser of the year and Mr Olsen is hoping it will be a huge success.

Mr Olsen said the night would be a combination of ’70s fashion and music.

“So many smash hits are from the ’70s,” he said.

“The great thing about ’70s music is everyone can dance to it no matter how old they are.”

The Salt Cafe will be decked out in bright, bold colours, giving the place a great ’70s edge.

There will also be plenty of games and prizes, Mr Olsen says.

The cost will be $65 and Mr Olsen estimates about $60 from each ticket sold will go towards Forget Me Not as plenty of food, drinks and prizes have been donated by local business.
