Kids have fun while parents pick up tips at under-8s day

CHILDREN enjoyed face-painting, blew bubbles and climbed an obstacle course while parents planned their futures at the under-8's day held at the Wide Bay TAFE yesterday.

The event provided valuable knowledge for parents about organisations such as childcare and schools in an entertaining environment for kids.

Wide Bay TAFE children's services teacher Ellen Jones said the event would help parents make important decisions on their child's future.

"It showcases what Hervey Bay has to offer with all its services and shows why it's such a great place to live," she said.

"There were some great, informative displays with some hands-on activities."

Ms Jones said it was important to get information to parents while the kids had some fun.
