Knicker nicker on the prowl

AN undies thief has Maryborough women’s knickers in a knot, after pinching their panties and bras from backyard clotheslines.

Maryborough police detective Acting Sergeant Ron Vandersteen said police were making inquiries after a man was alleged to have stolen a number of women’s underclothes in the past few months.

“We believe they have been taken from clotheslines and outdoor laundries,” he said.

“We are making inquiries into who the items belong to.”

Women who have had their dainties nicked are asked to contact Maryborough police, to see if they can identify their underwear and help police with their inquiries.

“We have about six to eight pairs of pants and an equivalent amount of bras,” Acting Sgt Vandersteen said.

“We believe they have mostly been taken in the past month.”

Call Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000 or Maryborough police 4123 8111.
