Last drinks called for popular watering hole

LAST drinks have been called at Scarness's popular Beachhouse Hotel before renovations temporarily close it.

The hotel, a favourite with tradies, will close at 8pm tomorrow before re-opening around the middle of next year.

Beachhouse Hotel manager Paul Robbins said everyone should come and say goodbye to the old pub.

"Hopefully everyone gets down here and has a good night on Sunday before we say goodbye," he said.

The old bar will be demolished.

The new hotel will have outdoor decks, a bistro and cafe, and a new drive-through bottle shop.
