Learn about collage, stop-frame animation at workshop

PLACES are still available for people who want to lean how to experiment with collage and stop-frame animation.

The microvids workshop will be held at the Fraser Coast Cultural Centre on Saturday, August 31, from 9am to 3pm

Facilitator Todd Fuller will teach participants about creative filmmaking with iPads and other mobile devices.

Councillor for Cultural and Performing Arts Phil Truscott said the workshop was part of the new Microvids exhibition showing at the Hervey Bay Regional Gallery.

"Microvids is a collection of short videos filmed primarily on the artist's mobile phone and edited using low-fi technology," he said.

"The videos capture small moments in artist Gary Deirmendjian's daily life and are then uploaded to YouTube for people to enjoy."

The workshop costs $30 per person.

To book, phone 4197 4206.
