Little girl, 4, drowns in bath at home

A YOUNG girl has died after her family earlier found her unresponsive in the bath tub in Western Sydney.

Paramedics worked desperately trying to revive the four-year-old who was unconscious when they arrived at Bellerive Cl, Hoxton Park about 6.10pm.

They briefly managed to revive the girl, and she was taken to Liverpool Hospital, but died a short time later a NSW Police Force spokeswoman said.

Forensic officers and police were at the scene.

Family and friends arrived at the property later in the evening, with one neighbour saying the child's family were a "very nice family".
