LIVE: BRL's season-opening double header at Hervey Bay

THIS is your one-stop shop for rolling coverage of today's Bundaberg Rugby League double header at Hervey Bay's Stafford Park.

The action will start at noon as Maryborough Brothers face Isis Devils in the first reserve grade clash of 2016, which also kicks off eight hours of rugby league.

Wallaroos v Wests Panthers at 4.30pm.

Wallaroos co-captains Luke Waters and Jack Horder spoke about how they want to lead the Maryborough club to the finals in 2016, while coach Peter Waters discussed what he thought of his side's chances.

Wallaroos:"It's more motivating than anything, captaining the whole team."

Wests: "The footy club is fine and we will be as competitive as we can be."

Hervey Bay v Past Brothers at 6.30pm.

The 2015 grand final combatants face off for the first time this year. Hervey Bay have revenge on their minds but Past Brothers' focus remains only on this year's campaign.

Hervey Bay: "Hopefully we can get one back over them."

Past Brothers: "There's no hype from our end."
