IT WAS all smiles recently when Hervey Bay Legacy received a donation for $1000.

Naval Association of Australia Fraser Coast sub-branch president Peter McDermott wanted to boost the funds of the charity in light of Legacy Week.

The ex-serviceman said he put the notion forward at the group's September meeting and it was voted the donation would go ahead.
