Locks busted but thief didn't get into school buildings

TWO locks were damaged during an attempted break-in at Urangan Point State School on Monday morning.

Sergeant Darryn Morris said a witness reported seeing a person wearing a grey hoodie and carrying a jemmy enter the school grounds between 4.30am and 5.30am.

The offender was able to bust the locks to two different buildings but was unable to get inside either of them.
