Looking for a fun-filled weekend in September?

THIS year's RiverFest at River Heads is sure to pull a crowd, with boating events and plenty of kids' entertainment.

September 7 and 8 will be a celebration of all things nautical, with a variety of stalls, buskers, food and music at the Hall grounds in Ariadne St, River Heads.

River Heads Progress Association president Billie Rustin said they were hoping the two-day event would be bigger and better than 2012.

RiverFest 2013 focuses on the region's beauty and natural assets.

"The whole idea of running the event is to highlight the importance of our waterways,"she said.

Highlights include the spectacular Head of the Mary Yachting event, the Buccaneers and Wenches Dinner Dance and fireworks for all the family on Saturday.

There will be the chance to groove along to local live bands and tickle your taste buds with wine and cheese.

Dinner dance tickets are $15 each. Bookings essential.
