Looking for puppy love

A MARYBOROUGH couple is looking for good homes for three puppies found skinny and starving at the Moonaboola Industrial Estate on Saturday morning.

Believed to be around eight weeks old, the bull-cross-arabs are being nursed back to health by Samantha and Chris Sawyer.

They describe the pups as playful, inquisitive and great family pets - and cannot comprehend why someone has seemingly abandoned them at the industrial estate between Maryborough and Aldershot.

“My brother was out there tinting a house when he noticed the puppies come up to the back steps,” Ms Sawyer said.

“He could tell straight away they were starved - they were so skinny. When he gave them a bowl of water they drank for about half an hour.

“They were wandering around lost and were in really poor condition. They seemed abandoned so my brother picked them up.”

Since taking them into their home, the puppies - one male and two females - have put on weight, been wormed and treated for fleas.

Ms Sawyer said she would love to find owners for them.

“They're so cute and playful and would make great family pets.”

Anyone interested in adopting the puppies can contact the couple on 0428 210 428.
