Lost a mobile phone over the past few months?

Have you been unfortunate to have misplaced or lost your mobile phone recently?

Good Samaritans do exist - over the past few months police have received a number of mobile phones handed in as found property to Maryborough and Hervey Bay Police stations. Phones such as Apple, Samsung, Nokia and various other brand name phones have been handed in to police and unfortunately we have not been able to locate their owners.

If you have lost your mobile recently and can prove ownership via an IMEI number (which is available through your phone provider if you were on a contract/plan simply by contacting them or have the original documentation of the phone) please pop into Maryborough or Hervey Bay Police Station between 8:00am-4:00pm Monday to Friday to see if we could have your phone.

Phones are one property item that cannot be auctioned or resold if the owners are not located, therefore they must be destroyed.

Do you want your $1000 phone to be put under the hammer?
