Lung recipient Coen Ashton fights the flu

FRASER Coast double lung transplant recipient Coen Ashton remains in hospital and is set to go on dialysis.

A post on the Facebook page that gives regular updates on his condition said Coen had caught the flu while being examined for high blood pressure, pain in the stomach and an elevated heart rate.

The post said that Coen's wounds had been affected and had "almost stopped working", meaning he will need to go on dialysis.
