Man and woman found with speed at Pt Vernon

A MAN and woman have been charged with the possession of a dangerous drug after being caught out with amphetamines on Thursday night. 

Police intercepted a vehicle in Point Vernon around 11.30pm to discover a 19-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man in possession of the drug amphetamines.

Police also found glass pipes. 

Hervey Bay Police Senior Constable Jules Tyson said police charged the man and woman after finding 1 gram of the drug. 

A court date has been set for November 12.
