A man in his 40s who broke his neck in a quad bike crash on a property at Biggenden was flown to Brisbane's PA Hospital on Thursday afternoon.

An RACQ CareFlight Rescue spokeswoman said the man was riding alone and used a mobile phone to call his family after the crash.

She said the man's wife found him injured on the property and phoned an ambulance.

RACQ CareFlight's chopper landed at the scene shortly after to airlift the patient to hospital for further treatment.
