Man charged after allegedly assaulting paramedic at Scarness

A 37-YEAR-OLD Hervey Bay man allegedly assaulted a paramedic in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Sergeant Paul Byrne said police were called to help the Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics at a residence on Zephyr St, Scarness at 1.30am.

He said no assault charges had been laid but the man had been charged for obstructing police.

The paramedic was not believed to be injured.
