Man charged after Ipswich puppy farm investigation
A MAN has been charged after investigations into serious animal cruelty and weapons offences in Ipswich.
Police from the joint Queensland Police Service and RSPCA Greyhound Racing Inquiry Task Force executed a search warrant at a Willowbank address this morning where they allegedly uncovered two firearms, drug paraphernalia and restricted medication.
They also seized four dogs and two puppies in relation to ear cropping and tail docking offences.
A 39-year-old Willowbank man has been charged with two counts unlawful possession of weapons and one count each of possession of unauthorised explosives (ammunition) and possession of drug utensils.
He is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on January 14.
Investigations are continuing.
