Man charged for allegedly having a firearm on the Esplanade

HERVEY Bay Police have intercepted a man who allegedly had a firearm in his vehicle on Charlton Esplanade.

On Tuesday night police intercepted and charged the 33-year-old man with numerous weapons offences.

Police allege the man had a revolver in his car.

He is due to appear in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
