UPDATE: The man charged with burning down the Toowoomba house he was living in has been remanded incustody.

Robert Lawrence Burke, 32, who had been living at the Gaydon St residence, was not brought up from watch house when his matter was briefly mentioned before Toowoomba Magistrates Court today.

Duty solicitor Brad Skuse, for Burke, told the court his client would not be applying for bail at this time and sought a one-month adjournment.

Magistrate Bruce Schemioneck therefore remanded Burke in custody and adjourned the case for mention back in the same court on May 14.
