Man charged with attempted rape after attack at caravan park

A 24-YEAR-OLD woman is recovering from minor injuries after an alleged attempted rape at a Pialba caravan park.

The woman called police on Thursday morning after the alleged attack began on Wednesday afternoon.

A 23-year-old man was charged with attempted rape, sexual assault and deprivation of liberty.

The pair, both from Hervey Bay, were known to each other.

The man will appear Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Friday.

He has also been charged with drug offences.
