Man charged with stabbing murder of woman in Kippa-Ring

A 35-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Kippa-Ring, north of Brisbane, overnight.

Around 10.35pm police were called to a house on Saint Ives Court following reports of a disturbance.

When police arrived they found a woman in her 20s on the driveway with what appeared to be stab wounds.

She was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of her injuries.

A man was taken into custody at the scene and was transported to Redcliffe Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The man has been charged with one count of murder and is expected to have a bedside hearing in hospital this morning.
