Man charged with raping girl

A 30-YEAR-OLD Curra man has appeared in court for the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl.

He was alleged to have committed the offences at Curra on Sunday.

The man, who cannot be named, yesterday faced Maryborough Magistrates Court in custody charged with one count of rape, one count of procuring a child to commit an indecent act and four counts of indecent dealing with a child. Police allege he stole $10 from the same girl.

He's also charged with sexually assaulting a different woman on the same day.

Magistrate John Smith remanded the man in custody until his next appearance on December 7 so DNA evidence could be processed.
