Man threatened with syringe

A MAN has told police he was threatened with a syringe during an argument with another man over a woman.

The 29-year-old man told officers he was walking along Boat Harbour Drive in Hervey Bay about 4.55pm on Monday when a car pulled up alongside him and a man, who was known to him, allegedly got out and began abusing him.

The 31-year-old man who had been in the car, and was allegedly armed with a syringe, then began chasing the pedestrian, telling him the item was going to end up in his “f***ing head”.

Police are investigating.
