Man dead after two-vehicle crash at Gayndah

POLICE are investigating after a two-vehicle traffic crash claimed a man's life at Gayndah yesterday afternoon.

Initial investigations indicate the crash occurred around 5pm when two vehicles travelling in opposite directions collided on the Burnett Highway.

The male driver of one of the vehicles, a 26-year-old Alexandra Headland man, died at the scene.

The female driver the other vehicle, a 35-year-old Mudgeeraba woman received non-life threatening injuries.

The highway was closed whilst the Forensic Crash Unit conducted examinations at the scene.
