Man found by police dog squad remanded in custody

THE man found by the police dog squad allegedly hiding in a shed on Grevillea St on Monday has been remanded in custody until his October court date.

Ricky Lee Hoy, 29, will face Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on October 31 on charges of fraud, break-in and drug possession.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Michael Quirk said the Urangan man was on parole for a separate offence at the time of his most recent dealings with police.

"He has a return to prison warrant against him for a matter previously before the courts," Sgt Quirk said.
