Man hurt in wrestle with 4WD and trailer thieves

A HERVEY Bay man injured his shoulder and had his vehicle and trailer stolen in a struggle with people attempting to break into his home.

A police spokesman said the man heard the offenders trying to break into his house in Wondunna about 6am on Saturday.

The spokesman said the man confronted the offenders and wrestled with at least one of them, where he injured his shoulder.

He said the offenders stole the man's four-wheel drive and trailer, and had also attempted to steal his motorbike.

The offenders fled before police arrived at the scene.

Police have urged the public to be on the lookout for the stolen Toyota LandCruiser with the licence plate 715 JHS and the stolen trailer with the licence plate 128 QJU.
