Man in court accused of fraud

PAYING for goods with allegedly dodgy cheques has left a Bundaberg man facing 68 charges of fraud.

Alan James Higgins had his case mentioned briefly in the Maryborough Magistrates Court this week. The 34-year-old is accused of fraudulently buying items from businesses across Qld, including Brisbane, Bundaberg, Gin Gin and Rockhampton.

The offences were alleged to have happened over an extended period of time in 2009.

Higgins remains in custody and had his case adjourned for mention in the Maryborough Magistrates Court on March 8.
