Man injured after projectile fired at Grafton unit complex

POLICE are investigating after a man was injured when a projectile was fired at a unit complex at Grafton last night.

Shortly before 7.30pm (Sunday 11 October 2015), emergency services were called to Prince St following reports that a man was injured after a projectile struck a window at the unit complex.

Initial investigations suggest a number of shots were fired at the home, before a car described as a maroon sedan fled the scene.

A 23-year-old man, who was home at the time of the incident, suffered minor injuries, which did not require treatment.

Investigations suggest a small projectile, similar to a ball-bearing, struck the outside of a window, causing glass to shatter, injuring the man.

A crime scene has been established and police from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command are investigating the incident.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/
