Man stabbed after argument at Wilsonton home

BREAKING: A man has been charged after allegedly stabbing another man at a Wilsonton home.

Police were called to the property about 7pm with reports a man, 48, suffered a stab wound to his upper arm.

He was taken to Toowoomba Hospital for treatment of "non-life threatening" injuries, Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Acting Sergeant Brian Collins said.

"As a result, a 42-year-old man was taken into custody and charged in relation to wounding," Det. Act. Sgt Collins said.

"The victim and the offender are known to each other."

It is understood an argument broke out between the two men shortly before the alleged stabbing occurred.

Police recovered the knife allegedly used in the incident at the scene.

The alleged offender was charged with unlawful wounding and released on bail.

He is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on April 5.
